I’m using Seagate Expansion drives for backups, and sometimes one will “disconnect” from the USB 3.0 port while writing files to it. And of course, I get a corrupted directory. Today I did some searching for a solution, and found it - ***don’t use a USB 3.0 extension cable! ***I copied a directory of about 150 GiB without the extension cable, and got, on average, 100MiB/s data rate. This problem has been driving me crazy for quite a while, now I’m happy. Lesson learned.
