USB/DSL connection only XP or Linux !?

Hello folks !

On my triple-boot-system with XP,Suse 11.3 and Ubuntu I cant access the web with all the OS. In spring,I used an USB-stick to connect, and got it only work to connect with WindwsXP,not with Suse and Ubuntu. The stick was identified by Suse as modem and storage-capacity as well. Now,running a DSL-connection,only Suse and Ubu are connectable, but not the XP! Has someone an idea, how does that work? If you need special technical information,Ill post it then.
The system is setted up like this :
First HD :WindowsXP and a FAT-data partition
Second HD:Suse,Ubuntu and an Ext4-data partition
The first HD is also the first one in the BIOS.

Greetings!

Are you asking how to configure XP now (with your *NIX working)?

Assistance possible but not too relevant in a *NIX forum… And if you’re asking about Windows, usually your ISP will provide ample tech support specific to the type of connection you’re using.

BTW - I’d probably suggest you start at understanding/describing the type of authentication your DSL is using… Is it completely open(allows any computer to connect) or do you need to login to your ISP? This assumes that your OS and hardware drivers are properly installed and support PPPoE.
