USB disconnect, device number #

This is basically a “me, too” post as I have seen no real solution. I’ve seen recommendations for installing “tlp” but “tlp” is not findable in the zypper repos and my system is a desktop where power management
should not be an issue. So I see this a lot:

afterwhich I need to reboot because all USB devices are dark. (Replugging my mouse does no good.) This apparently started August 31 and has become progressively more of a nuisance.

Not a hardware issue (eg heat-related) developing? You could try testing with a live distro to see how that behaves with usb devices.
