I have HP PSC 2410 usb hooked up with my desktop.
First the scaner was working after few minutes it came up an error,one of you will ask me what kind of error.
I will post you the next day.

Well I took xsane for scaning I click on it, the error I read is
No devices available
The other day it was working why not again?.
Is it the cable or the usb conection on my motherboard?.

what happens if you unplug/plug the scanner? Look for the output of dmesg when you do that, and check if it works after it.
