USB Connection without a wire

Hi,

I have a laptop with openSUSE 11.2 64bit.
A printer is connected via USB.
I uses an USB-soundcard for the connection to my HIFI.

Is there a solution, to connect to these USB-Devices without a wire?

I have found solutions, but they works only for Windows. No linux-driver at all.

  • Xystec Wireless-USB-Hub and USB-Dongle
  • Belkin Wireless USB-HUB

Have anyone an idea?

Thanks

Hi!
There are many wireless (bluetooth or wifi) print-servers on the market. But you need to examine tech-specs and user manuals to be sure that your printer will work with them.
Hi-fi audio… maybe compatible usb fm transmitter will fit?
And about network usb hubs - i know that USB/IP Project exist. Maybe this will help to solve?
With best regards.

Just another variant
lowcost and noiseless nettop with attached printer and usb soundcard.
Nettop will work as print-server and play sound from laptop through pulseaudio. Laptop will be linked to nettop through wifi.
