Just “upgraded” from 15.5 to 15.6. I actually did a full install and reformated the drive.
When I boot I get the following error:
Jun 25 13:04:55 tadpole kernel: ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: unknown error 88
Jun 25 13:04:55 tadpole kernel: ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: UCSI_GET_PDOS failed (-5)
Jun 25 13:04:55 tadpole kernel: ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: unknown error 88
Jun 25 13:04:55 tadpole kernel: ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: UCSI_GET_PDOS failed (-5)
Now I wasn’t getting this error under 15.5.
- What’s causing it?
- What can I do about it? (or ignore)
Thanks
Are you seeing any specific issues - devices not working, etc?
No, I haven’t noticed yet. I have 2 external USB toasters with 7Tb and it’s working.
A few people have reported these errors but with the error on the cable. Not my case.
But this is related to the 6.4 kernel. Same hardware, zero change, no error under 15.5. I regularly check my logs.
So I don’t know. That’s why I’m asking.
Thanks
If you’re sure your cable is fine, then I probably wouldn’t worry about it.
