URGENT Segmentation Fault 11 KDE4 11.4openSuse

After the last most recent update, i performed a restart and now kwin is completely dead, I am unable to use the keyboard to type commands into console or search, only works when i open firefox using the GUI. Everything crashes! Even the crash handler crashes consistantly, so I can’t report anything or get details…
When I try to restart, the icons for Restart and Shutdown are missing, I only see Logout, Switch User & Lock, and I can’t do any of these things!
The most recent info about the crashes is this one for the KDE session manager:
Executable: kdeinit4 PID: 3156 Signal: Segmentation fault (11)
I cannot use nepomuk to backup. Does anyone else experience this problem?
I’m running an Acer Aspire One 532h, and never had these problems before.
another one just now:
Executable: krunner PID:7570 Signal: Segmentation Fault (11)

Try selecting IceWM session at the login screen

Now see if you can post your repo list:

zypper lr -d

You could try creating a new user account to test a new login. This is quite helpful in establishing where the problem might be.

Thank you reply, and sorry for my delayed response, I am on a crazy schedule with work and school with exams coming up. I cannot type anything into root, nor can I type anything into the desktop search. I can only type in mozilla firefox. I cannot logout, start a new session or do any of the things you mentioned…

I have given up hope entirely, and I’m willing to nuke what I have to start over in linux, how do I do this without typing anything in root? Will I need a liveUSB? I tried the live installer I have on the computer, but this crashes as well…
If this is not possible, how can I format the linux back to NTFS through windows (dual boot) without leaving a trace of screwing around with linux?

Just reboot with the openSUSE install media in the CD drive and re-install, but you’ll need to use custom partitioning to select the existing partitions.
