Upgrading openSUSE 10.2 (X86-64) to SLES 11 SP2

We have a server running with opensuse 10.2 and our customer need to upgrade it to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2.
please let me know the possibillity/steps for doing the same.

To begin with people here do not know much about SLES (after all this is the openSUSE forum). But I would think that such a big step (to even another operating system) can only be done by a new installation. Of course you should backup all the user and application data and either restore them afterwards, or, when they are on separate file systems (like /home often is on openSUSE) keep those file systems as they are and use them again on the new system (but of course an extra backup of all of them should be made first, like with all major system changes).

BTW, you choose openSUSE 13.2 as prefix for your thread, but your talk aboutt 10.2. What is it???

10.2 -> SLES SP2 as an upgrade? No, no, no. That would be like upgrading DOS 3.0 -> Windows 7.
In cases like this, upgrading is not an option, what you need is a migration. Investigate what you need from the server, how SLES 11 SP2 could provide those needs.
