thanks! sry for being redundant. :shame:

No worries

I would add. To say:
It is possible to do, but a clean install is the preferred choice.

Just to know.
Is it possible to upgrade directly from 12.1 to 12.3?
I understand that it is not very advisable anyway. But is it very dangerous? You could only start again from scratch if something goes wrong.

It might work, but the supported way is to use one of the upgrade methods
(‘zypper dup’, NET install, or DVD) to go from 12.1 to 12.2, and then from 12.2
to 12.3.

So much has changed I don’t think you would save much bandwidth doing a yast or zypper upgrade. I would advise a clean install

I am planing on a possible install of 12.3 RC2 myself, a virtualbox install seems very suggesting that my want to run netflix in opensuse will be placated in 12.3

Good to know, i’ll plan to backup files and do a fresh install, thanks dale!
