Upgrade from 11,4 to 12,1 -> Nvidia-problem

Hi!
I’ve been running OpenSUSE 11,4 64bits on a Dell Latitude D820 with Nvidia Quadro NV140 Mobile for a long time.
Its been working very good with Nvidia 290.10-driver from Nvidia Repos.

I wanted to try OpenSUSE 12,4 and swap harddrive to do a clean install, but have saved the old 11,4 on its own harddrive.

I installed 12,4 64bits and updated all latest updates. Now it was running on some Open-source Nvidia-drive and it was not good. It have some problem with refreshing windows.
So i added the Nvidia Repos and installed the latest 290.40-15(Latest). Now the whole Nvidia-setup is messed up and i cant get the new Nvidia-drive to activate.
Also i can’t undo back to the original OpenSource-driver and the whole installation is trash(Only cli and no gfx).

Is this new 290.40-15-driver the reason for the problem? Or is there something with OpenSUSE 12,4 that doesnt work? I can’t download 290.10-driver eighter!
The NVS140 Mobile is based on GeForce 6.

Now i switched back to 11,4 :slight_smile:

I can upload the 290 packages somewhere … We should have a public ftp or something …
