Upgrade and not Downgrade.

Hello
after following the SDB:System upgrade - openSUSE

If I run the distribution upgrade it will downgrade the architecture and
install only the i586 packages, although the rpm’s for the 64bit Systems
are in Index of /update/11.3/rpm/x86_64

Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Best Regards

Clean the zypper cache with “zypper clean -a” and refresh it “zypper
ref”, then type “zypper dup” and see the conflicts, I think you solved a
conflict downgrading the architecture

Maybe looking at /usr/lib/rpm/rpmrc and /usr/lib/rpm/rpmsort might help. /usr/lib/rpm/ has a lot of good stuff in it. You could also look at zypper prefer arch http://wiki.opensuse.org/SDB:Zypper_usage#Installing_packages Hope this helps.

Thanks for replies. I would check and I will post back my feedback.
