zypper will not update the NVidia drivers on my 15.6 machine. I can only do it from the desktop updater. But it is glacially slow–over 30 minutes. It displays a license screen, and I click accept. Then it must wait for the service to start, which can take minutes. Then sometimes it checks for conflicts. Then it displays the next license and repeats the whole process. It can do this up to 11 times!!
Yikes. I have a dual Xeon machine with lots of memory. Is there a better way to do this?
Also, it is the same license, and it does not even say which bit of software it is for. Surely NVidia could list them all in one acceptance.
And why doesn’t the update service stay on until I am done?
