updating issues with 11?

I’m just wondering why I never see any updates on suse 11, 10.3 had updates every day, with a icon on the task bar telling me it was updating, and since my switch to 11, I haven’t seen anything for a while. Its now on a fresh install, and still nothing, can someone tell me what i’ve done wrong?? Thanks everyone!!

What is the output of this command:

zypper lr

Also, be sure to open YaST and proceed through the “Online Update Config” module.

sonny@linux-knrc:~> zypper lr

thats what came up, and I did the online update config, it says wait, its contacting the server, takes about a minute then its done. Maybe there’s not as many updates? How often do they come? I’ve also gone to YaST and online update and nothing ever shows up.

You do have updates enabled (4)
(5) Is not needed if you are like most today, with always on internet.

There have been no updates anyway just recently.

Your repos look good. I see no reason for concern.

ok cool, I was a little concerned cause I am also coming from ubuntu, and that updates a lot! So I just figured they all do. Thanks for your help everyone!

Even if his config looks good, there could still be a problem. he said that even on a fresh install he doesn’t get any updates…There have been many updates since 11.0 has been released, however.

Check your updates again, you should have some now, including some to zypper
