Updating fails, even if I unselect the cause of the problem

So, I have this error while updating on Tumbleweed:

Dependency resolution failed:

the to be installed python313-nbconvert-7.16.6-1.2.noarch requires '(python313-tinycss2 >= 1.1.0 with python313-tinycss2 < 1.5)', but this requirement cannot be provided

However, when I deselect python313-nbconvert from the list of updates in Discover, the update still fails with the same error. I had hoped this would allow me to update python313-nbconvert later without having to check for updates in some convoluted way. I vastly prefer the use of the desktop over the terminal, which I avoid using if at all possible.

Is there any way to proceed in a way which will allow me to update now while leaving open the ability to later on catch up with the right version of python313-nbconvert without having to check manually?

Use zypper dup and answer the solver question.

Discover does not provide solver solutions.

Thanks for the explanation. Using zypper did solve the problem.

Sad to see that the use of the archaic terminal paradigm is still a necessity in this day and age,

On Tumbleweed you can use Myrlyn, the new openSUSE graphical package manager. It provides also solver questions and solutions like zypper dup. So if you want a GUI, use Myrlyn.

Discover is the KDE package manager, but does not provide/fulfill distribution specific requirements. You can still use it for flatpak management.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I will try out Myrlyn next time there is an issue like this. Is there a way to make it the default update checker instead of Discover?
