i have suse 11.3
when i try to install codecs for multimedia
it forces me to install updates i dont want
how can i make it install just the codecs
like ubuntu does
Anytime you install specific files, such is required to play multimedia files, these file may require the use of other files. As long as you are using the recommended repositories, the updates you get will be fine. It is recommended you read and follow this thread on the subject:

but the size of updates it includes is very big 400 or 500 MB
like java and office stuff idont need
