I try to update my computer through the updater and it does not work, it fails, so it brings me to YaST, and that fails to… what is going on? Why are my updates failing?? HELP!
Thanks
David
This is the message I get when the update fails…
“PackageKit Error cannot-remove-system-package: Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: error: package libgio-fam-2.24.1-2.5.i586 is not installed”
And when I go into YaST to do it manually it fails as well. Someone help!

What exactly are you doing? Above it mentions removing a package, and you
have said nothing about that.

Do “it”. What is “it”?
You know, XTall balls are pretty expensive these days, so you’d better give
more details.

When I first boot up and log in, there is a notice saying there are updates avalible, so I let it update, then I get that message that I posted, whatever that means, I did not do anything, I just let it update and do it’s thing. Here is a screenshot of the error when it fails, Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting Then I click on "Start YaST and install updates manually and this happens… (Here is what I did in order… This is me starting YaST, Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting Then I get this, Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting Then the last thing is this, Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting) What is all of this, why will my updates not work?

Use susepaste.

It is missing a display of the proposal. After it downloads the metadata,
it displays what it proposes to update. That is missing.

The message has more text to the right, I need that. Plus the details.
