Hi,
I’m using OpenSuse 10.3
I am told daily by the updater that “New Software for your system is available”. It also ALWAYS says:
“x install 2 recommended updates additionally”
These 2 additional updates are always present, and never seem to actually install. This means my system is always telling me new software is available.
Any ideas how I can clear these?
Many thanks
Christian

Hi
Try it from the CLI then (console/konsole);
sudo zypper ref
sudo zypper lu
sudo zypper up
The first command refreshes the repositories, the second lists any
updates, the third will apply the updates.
If that doesn’t work a read here;
Package
Manager Cleanup
Note the script has an error, the correct one is here;
SDB:Speed
up Package Manager Stack - openSUSE
