Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue

Please help me out here. Thanks!

Additional info:

systemctl status network.service
Failed to get D-Bus connection: No connection to service manager.

I apologise for the incomplete thread title. Panic mode engaged.

I just resolved this.

On the bootsplash screen where it has all the options like boot to Desktop/Failsafe mode and all it only had kernel 13.11 so I scrolled down and booted to 13.16 and it worked. Still trying to figured out how to delete the old kernel files.

Sheesh. Took me prayers and a whole day.
