Hi,
I done an update to 11.1 and ended up with openSUSE 11.2 Alpha 0 (x86_64) (Linux 2.6.27.8-1-default x86_64). I have no idea how this happened. How could I end up with 11.2 if all my repository are marked 11.1? How do I get back?
Thanks

You don’t by chance have a “Factory” repo (that automatically roles forward upon release, so it is now 11.2 alpha)?
Where are you seeing this, in the Konqueror sysinfo page? The kernel is the 11.1 kernel. All I can think of, aside from having Factory enabled, is that in 11.1 the dev’s backported some KDE 4.2 code into the installed 4.1.3; perhaps something mistakenly crept in there with it.
It is probably harmless - that is, unless you do have Factory enabled, in which case you want to disable it, run YaST Software Management, and Filter on Repositories/@System - everything in red will be packages from Factory that is different from 11.1; right-click on the list, force reinstall. Very doubtful this is the case, but instructions just-in-case.
No I had no “Factory” repo. Yes it is on boot loader + sysinfo.
It was harmless. I just down graded.
Thanks
Strange indeed. Thanks for the data point.
I had the same issue. It was night before 11.1 Final Release and i also had all 11.1 repos, only non standard repo was KDE 4 Unstable but still for 11.1
I don’t think it happens again since 11.1 repo is not changing anymore
