“Update System” shows system have one packageKit-139 (noarch) to install. But clicking “Apply Updates” nothing happened.

Restarted and nothing changed.

login as: root

Any SUSE guru out there please advise. Thank you.

Hi
Try the following commands from the CLI (Command Line) konsole/console;

sudo zypper ref
sudo zypper lu
sudo zypper up

The first command refreshes the repositories, the second lists any
updates, the third will apply the updates.

Malcolm,

It’s working. Thanks for the help! :wink:

Of course, after the first run and restarted, there are hundreds updates need to run even I just downloaded the SUSE 11 just weeks ago.

Anyhow, just wonder if the system time GUI has the same trick to run in command line to do the update? Click on “Adjust Date & Time” and click on “Set system time” doesn’t work even login as root.

Thanks again.

Hi

I normally run ntp and pick a couple of public servers. You can enable
via YaST-> Network Services-> NTP Configuration.
