Update software settings - Plasma desktop

Hello,

I set update software to occur weekly in update settings, but it seems it has no effect. I imagine it’s a Plasma issue.
Also localization need to be fixed.
Can you verify it?

The updater checks for updates on each login, regardless of the settings.
Is that what you mean?

That’s an old problem, already in KDE4’s apper.
The time of the last check isn’t saved anywhere.

And yes, there are no translations (yet?).
