This was answered in the install/boot/login forum. Please do not post
the same question to multiple forums.

personal opinion: Tumbleweed is not a good idea for those folks who
don’t yet understand openSUSE (and, there are a LOT of folks with years
in Red Hat, Debian or other who don’t really get along well with
openSUSE and YaST/Zypper the first days…)

i’d suggest you run 12.2 a while, learn about the package management
system and the ways you can kill your system, and then consider the
Weed…like read and follow the paragraph beginning with “IMPORTANT”
in this post http://tinyurl.com/33qc9vu until “the time comes when you
learn how to solve problems that may arise from having others” including
the adding of Tumbleweed…

Well i installed it and everything seems up to par… no issues that i can see… the problem i had was the bootloader configuration… when the system installed initially it was reading the hdd as sdd not sda. So when upgrading to tumble weed it looked at the grub probe and saw that there was no sdd and it threw everything off…

Apologies, I had a quick look and it looked to be the same issue.
Perhaps a clearer subject line would help avoid confusion like that.
