I try to get kde4.2.2 by sudo zypper update but I get this:
Retrieving package lcms-1.18-78.1.i586 (1/109), 47.0 K (133.0 K unpacked)
Retrieving: lcms-1.18-78.1.i586.rpm [error]
Download (curl) error for ‘http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Extra-Apps/openSUSE_11.1/i586/lcms-1.18-78.1.i586.rpm’:
Error code: Connection failed
Error message: Failed to connect to 2001:e10:5c00:5::9: Network is unreachable
Is there problem in the update servers or it is just my poor network ?
Are you able to access Internet otehrwise? browsing etc.?
Are you connecting to the Internet via any Proxies?
Who is guarding our repositories? I used to get fast, and clean installs from the Suse,Packman, Videolan, and others. Now, I get many errors with mismatched signatures. I believe our repositories are getting hacked, trashed, and damaged. If we SuSE users are to continue to grow, and prosper, we need those repositories cleaned, managed, and safeguarded. Ok, so do we need a group charged with the security of our repositories? Those hosting our repositories may need help in monitoring them. Let’s see if we can get this ball rolling. I sure do miss my fast, and clean installs.
