The abovementioned patch attempts to remove the package psmisc as a part of its update process. Every time I try to apply the update it hangs on the removal attempt. I’ve tried to remove the package through yast and the command “zipper rm psmisc” but none of the attempts have been succesfull and now I’m a bit frustrated. Could any of you give me a hint or three about what I should do.

Is this an update or a patch?
An update is more extensive than just a patch, a patch is supposed to merely fix but leave library versions the same.

If there are any unsuccessful attempts at anything, you always need to copy the result to your posting so that others can see the reason for failure.
