Update on the forums

I’m told that the technical staff spent a lot of time this weekend
reviewing the entire configuration and found a few issues that have been
changed that should remove the 504 (and other) errors.

There is a plan in place to migrate the software off the existing ancient
hardware onto more robust hardware.

I have raised the stability issues with the openSUSE board as well, and
they are aware of what’s going on and are helping in the ways they are
able to.

I know I say this regularly - but we appreciate everyone’s patience and
the frustration everyone is having with the stability issues. We do
seem to be getting more attention now for these issues, so hopefully
they will be resolved in the near future.

Once the more serious stability issues are addressed, then we can get
some attention to the less serious issues.

Thanks for the update. The forums have been stable for me lately.

Although through the past few weeks accessing the forums from the HTTP side was a bit like playing Russian roulette

Best regards,
Greg

I’m cautiously optimistic that things will continue to improve. It
sounds like they did identify something major over the weekend.
