Update on install on windows drive fubar’d after restart - weird happenings

Did an up date on the install I use the most on my windows drive.
After the requisite restart, Grub went into Rescue mode. And of course I got lost in all the reading about Grub rescue.

i ended up putting my live version of LMDE and found a repair Boot routine. In left me with one bootable linux.
i used the YaST boot loader to get back another install. So I have 2 bootable linux systems.

BUT after getting those 2 back, I found the install on the a windows drive went missing.
fdusk, lsblk and gparted showed it was GONE!

More later

The next thing is putting leap 15.4 on the windows drive.
the Grub menu shows 2 Windows 10. I believe that is because I removed Win10, left Win7 on the drive, and os-prober is seeing 2 Win10’s in the system reserve partition & and also in the Win7 partition, and I don’t know how to have it recognize only one win10 boot partition. There is a picture of the Grub menu in another recent thread I started.

But, I no longer have a Leap install on that drive, and am having a problem during an install getting past a message about “not enough space before some partition” the add a partitions for /boot and /, with out it indicating it may not boot.

Again, I am lost in the world of installing Leap on that drive(/dev/sdb)
i will post images when I can get back on that machine.
