On my OpenSUSE Updater (NOTE: the icon is red) it says:
New software for your system is available
So, what do you think I do? I click it and run it.
I do the “kernel” update, and it runs and crashes.
After that (NOTE: the icon is now yellow)
Its been doing this forever, but this time, it says:
DBus error : org.freedesktop.PackageKit.Transaction.RefusedByPolicy : org.freedesktop.packagekit.update-package auth_admin_keep_always
I would just like a quick answer, as in I am not in the time
situation to fully solve this issue
Thanks all,

Are you using 11.1 RC1 by chance? There are some changes in PolicyKit and the package updater which require cycling through the updates.
If that’s not it, run YaST Online Update, separately from the applet, and see what is shows. If nothing there, run YaST Software Management and install/reinstall the latest kernel, PolicyKit; do a search on dbus and then right-click in this list and click “Update all in this list unconditionally”, that will force a reinstall of all the dbus components.
Sorry it took me so long to reply…
Thanks a load for your help, it now shows an
icon that look like: 2 windows, overlapping each
other, with a KDE symbol in the front-most one.
Its works great!
LinuxMonster761 lol!
Oh, yeah; I’m not using 11.1, but
only 11.0
