Update changed thunderbird icons open 'kate'

Desktop & 2 laptops all had Thunderbird open in a Kate window.

Easy enough to fix. (delete the icons, re-added the icons to desktop/favorites),
BUT shouldn’t have had to IMO.

Anyone aware of this happening, and what update caused it?
Thunderbird was not in the zypper update chain.
