Update broke nvidia-bumblebee/bbswitch/optirun. Am I the only one with that issue?

Hi,

some update broke nvidia-bumblebee (or bbswitch/optirun/primusrun) and I wonder if I am the only one with that problem?

I had it running without problems. However now I get the famous:

/dev/dri/card1: failed to set DRM interface version 1.4: Permission denied

Optirun/primusrun hang a long time if started. Never saw that before. And I have a lot of experience fixing nvidia-bumblebee broken from updates (earlier releases sometimes did not clean old files/sym links, or did not compile all needed nvidia modules,…).

I tried almost everything I could find on the internet, but it will not work… What I did not do is going back to earlier nvidia or intel drivers.

At least I can still use cuda, and that is the most important part for me, since I develop cuda code…

What I saw is that I now had 2 bbswitch-kmp-desktop. Even Bumblebee repo should be preferred the other one got installed too (because of higher version number?):

The bbswitch update from Bumblebee repo today solved the issue.

I still have to force yast update from installing bbswitch-kmp-desktop from the suse repos too (because higher version number?). I did not test if it also works with both installed…
