Updaing the NetworkManager-gnome-probe-radius-server-cert.patch

Hi!

I have to fix following bug:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732441

(I need PEAP and MSCHAPv2 in university…)

There it says:

Update the NetworkManager-gnome-probe-radius-server-cert.patch.

+@@ -93,6 +95,10 @@ add_to_size_group (EAPMethod *parent, Gt
g_assert (widget);
gtk_size_group_add_widget (group, widget);

-+ widget = GTK_WIDGET (gtk_builder_get_object (parent->builder,
“eap_ttls_subject_label”));
++ widget = GTK_WIDGET (gtk_builder_get_object (parent->builder,
“eap_peap_subject_label”));

But i really don’t have any idea how to do this.

Can anybody help me fixing this? :slight_smile:

Thanks
woernsn

That looks like a c source code patch. If so, you would have to be compiling from source to use that. Otherwise, you can wait till the change is pushed out to updates.

okay, thanks!
how long does it normally take to push it out?

That’s hard to say.

I would guess that they will report this upstream (to the Network Manager developers), and then wait until an update comes from there.

that sounds bad… and you don’t know how I could get THIS source file? because google didn’t help mi with that :frowning:

The patch is as the bug comments say already submitted to update:test
You can simply watch
https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=NetworkManager&project=openSUSE%3A12.1%3AUpdate%3ATest
to see when it is applied and rebuilt (which you can also see on the OBS
project page) and when it is download the rpm for testing it
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/12.1:/Update:/Test/standard
I guess you will get it that way faster than trying to fiddle with
rebuilding it yourself.

I forgot to add, if you really want to put your hands on the source code
just download the source rpm or do “zypper si NetworkManager”

Thank you so much!

I was looking for this link for hours, but wasn’t able to :smiley:

installation worked - the only thing: my nvidia-driver crashed and i had to install again.
But now, everything is fine.

I will test it monday in university.

Thanks in advance!
