My cpu load monitor reads 70% system 70% cpu 1 70% cpu 2.
According to “top” the process " X "
is taking up anywhere from 30-60% cpu load
Is this unusual?
My mobile workstation is getting hot idling.
Does anyone know if thermald (thermal daemon from 01.org) works with opensuse/tumbleweed.
dbus-glib-devel seems to be the only dependecy missing from the build install (according to Fedora’s instructions in README)
Probably a graphics driver problem. What card/driver are you using?
Does disabling desktop effects help?
What are your settings in “Display and Monitor”->“Compositor”?
Maybe post the /var/log/Xorg.0.log and/or the output of “glxinfo | grep render” (Mesa-demo-x needs to be installed for that).
Also, there’s a known problem with the system monitor plasmoids in Plasma 5.3.x taking a lot of CPU time.
But then it should be plasmashell that’s taking the CPU, not X, I think.

No idea, sorry.
But it should, I suppose.
On openSUSE, the package is called dbus-1-glib-devel btw.
