Undelete Files Help Please!!!

Hello All,
When copying my /home directory to a stick, I inadvertently deleted the whole directory + tree + files.
Tried to recover using GParted from the recovery CD and tried testdisk (testdisk-6.14) without success.
How can I recover directories + files, both hidden end unhidden?

Any advise is welcome,

Thanks,
Dick D.

If testdisk nor photorec don’t recover anything, forget it.

Check out Extundelete on Sourceforge. It’s looking pretty good right now
and the developers are working it activly so help is available for those odd
situations.

Tried Extundelete but got the message that the disk was full. Checked and 14 Gb was available. Thus I reinstalled openSUSE and have to live with the lost stuff. If one plays with fire…

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Disk full? were you using btrfs? That system keeps copies…
(snapshots). It may appear full and empty depending on how you look.
