Is there any way to move the Destop Toolbar from the left side of the screen to the bottom of the screen?
You might want to ask this in Ubuntu forum
But I don’t think so
This is all fairly confusing to me. I installed openSUSE-12.2 DVD-i586.iso and this is the openSUSE Forum but the desktop is named Unbuntu so I figured it was all one and the same. So, if this is Unbunto that I am running, can I un-install it and start all over?
openSUSE does not have a Launcher bar on the left side at all. Ubuntu does.
Ubuntu is a different Linux distribution. Perhaps you have installed Ubuntu previously?
Ubuntu look a little like this: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10573557/Ubuntu/ubuntu_11.10/1_installme.jpeg
From the image you posted, it appears that I have Unbuntu. How that happened I dont have a clue but probably best I look for the Unbuntu Forum and see what they can tell me. I would prefer to have openSUSE so maybe I can wipe the whole drive clean and start all over.

Yes, sure you can
OK…so Unbunto is gone now and I have openSUSE installed. All seemed to go well but I do have a couple of things that I need to find out how to do. One is there is no sound. I am using usb speakers. The other is the screen goes blank after a few minutes of no activity so I would like to change that time interval

The answer depends on which desktop you use.
