I’ve tried both Live ISO into runlevel 3, and Rescue with and without textmode. They all show garbage on the screen after booting. I don’t know what else to try, except for another distro’s live/rescue iso. I can’t get any flavor of TW booted into text mode. I tested 0825 today. Ah, only Live failsafe works. Rescue is a no-go.
Your 1050, like my 1070, requires nomodeset kernel parameter for it to work as Nouveau is too old (or incomplete) to support the latest nVidia chips.
