Unable to upgrade 10.2 -> 11.0

All,

I’m unable to upgrade from 10.2.to 11. During the install process I selected upgrade but it doesn’t find any partitions to upgrade (but it is running 10.2).
Anybody knows how to tweak my 10.2 installation to enable the 11.0 installer to detect the partition to upgrade.

A fresh install is more or less out of the question because it’s my home server we’re talking about. A fresh install would give a significant work to re-configure all services (mail,http,forum,dns etc).

If you wish to upgrade in my opinion you have more changes to do it , by upgrading first to opensuse 10.3 and than to opensuse 11.

Upgrading van 10.2 to 10.3 gives the same problem, but thanks for the suggestion.

if you have /home on a seperate partition, you could just do a fresh install, then when it comes to partitioning,just point openSUSE to mount your /home partition

Andy,

Thanks for the suggestion but a fresh install means for me a lot of configure work. The system is my home server serving mail,dns,dhcp,web,db,forum etc etc.

A fresh intall is just to much work. I need to know how the installer detects a upgradeable partition, then I know how to tweak it.
