Unable to start Wi-Fi during installation of Tumbleweed

I have an Acer Aspire Switch on which I want to install Tumbleweed. The hardware is supported by openSUSE, as the live KDE session has no issue booting and configuring the Wi-Fi adapter.

Yast2 installer needs grub2-efi-i386, however this is not on the DVD iso. I’m not able to get the Wi-Fi adapter to work. Trying to get it to launch on tty2 throws

# if link set wlan0 up
RTNETLINK answers: Operation not permitted

Is there a way to provide that package during installation or how to enable the Wi-Fi adapter?

I haven’t tried this recently.

You should be able to install from the Tumbleweed live KDE session. Setup WiFi before you start the install. As far as I know, the installer should continue to use the WiFi that you have setup for the live system.

It will be a NET install, so perhaps slower than using the DVD installer because it has to download the packages as it goes.

Silly me! I was not even aware that for Tumbleweed live images are available. It is now installing.
Thanks.
