hi,
just like everyone who gets trouble after moving from windows to Linux. i am one of them.
i have installed the Skype successfully from this help page
SDB:Skype - openSUSE
but when I click on Skype icon from internet>more application . in the bar it shows like, Skype is trying to connect but after some seconds it disappears from the task bar.
i am using Opensuse 11.3 KDE desktop.
thank you,
Abrar Ahmed
64 or 32 bit?
Try opening a konsole and stating skype form the command line so we can see any error messages. Just type skype at the command prompt.
thanks for your reply,
it’s 32 bit.
skype: error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
one library was missing. now i have installed it from the online update appl. now it works.
thanks,
great job!!
i predict you are going to love Linux: because, once you knew how to
find the error you figured out to win the game named "How do i solve
this little puzzle!)
welcome!
lots to learn…a slightly dated list of stuff you might find helpful
at http://tinyurl.com/3a5rong
(sorry, but since that was written ‘they’ have upgraded both the forum
and the wiki and broke lots of links…but some are still ok)
