ok…you went “Settings” > “Configure KMail” and set it up with your
idenity, account for the server name/address provided to you by your
mail provider?? or, since you web mail, do they do POP, IMAP or
what…do they tell you how to connect to their system without using a
browser?
so, you get it all set up and then you write an email and press send
and it does nothing?
nothing at all? …try to click on “Send” and you can’t even see that
the button was clicked…nothing happens at all???
did it ever work?

as i said before , my webmail uses pop and smtp servers.
when i click send , not even the progress bar shows up.
if i write an email and try and send it , nothing seems to happen, it simploy stays in the outbox.
i havent found out about the part about connecting to the system without a browser.
i dont think i can.
Wich webmail are you using ? Check if you are using the right smtp and pop3 parameters for you’re webmail.
Another thing you could do is try with another client like Thunderbird to see if you have the same problem.
yes thunderbird seems to be working ok???
ok thunderbird uses port 587 insteed of port 25?
Sounds like that is a SSL connection. You may have to tell kmail to use SSL.
ok i will try that.
i have one problem,is that i have one problem is that i have an email in the outbox that i cant remove or delete

try deleting that by using your browser to sign in and then go to the
outbox and . . .

i have got kmail to recieve, but sending is still a problem, i spoke to the hosting company and got the right username and password, but when sending the message doesnt seems to do anything, and the message doesnt leave the outbox and appear in the sent box.
Did you press the get/send email button? I think by default it may hold all mail until you manually send it. There is a configuration option.
to send i always have to go to: file>send queued messages or send queued messages via…
there is no other way for me to send them
now i am getting an error message sending failed:“Transport *******.co.uk’ is invalid.”
check your setup very carefully, letter by letter…
