It’s interesting that every other forum I have an account on let me see my own profile, why doesn’t that happen here too?

How did you try to access your profile? I guess clicking on “My Profile” near the top of the page should do it.
I don’t have any problems accessing my profile. But maybe there’s a restriction for newer members until they have been around for a while.
I tried by clicking on my name, aside the "Welcome, ", by clicking on my name on my posts, and also by clicking on my profile.

I’ve never had a problem. But I probably didn’t even try looking at my profile until two years after I had started using the forums.
I can click on your name - it tells me about you most recent posts but it doesn’t give any details about your profile. Clicking on my own name (say on this post) gives me the same as clicking “My Profile”.
My guess is that you are seeing a restriction on new members. They probably don’t want you to be able to set a signature for posts, because spammers create accounts just to do that.
I’ve sent you a private message to see if you can read messages. It should show near “Notifications” at the top of the page, but perhaps not until you next reload a forum page.
As you see from the above posts, it is not general on the forums, but it may be due to you recently joining. I know for sure that changing one’s Signature is blocked for some time after one joins to avoid spam in there. But I am not sure about the same for seeing one’s profile.
I just looked into your member administration, but I can not find a setting that (dis)allows this. Now please, I am not fluent with this administration, so it is possible I missed it or it is somewhere else.
It seems that you have to wait for a better response. It could be that a staff member joins us here. It also could be that we need some technical staff. And that last will only be possible after the weekend.
If no satisfactory explanation will be posted here until Monday, I will contact technical staff.

For the benefit of others reading this thread: Junior_s2_Camila was able to read my PM, and he replied to it. So at least that part is working.
JavaScript must be running, not blocked.
And, there are more cookies involved than just one, so it could be one is blocked.
Just a couple thoughts to check.
Perhaps try creating a new profile in your browser (back the current one up first, of course) and see if a fresh profile helps.
Just got a message back from technical staff.
For some unknown reason, you were indeed blocked from viewing your profile. It should be repaired now.
Can you please report back here if it works?

While I know your issue is resolved, someone should probably point out
Java != Javascript.

Yes I use NoScript on Firefox which disables Javascript almost globaly.
