I know that openSUSE has a repo with Thunderbird but they don’t update it quickly enough for my needs so I prefer downloading and installing directly from mozilla. However, when I try to run Thunderbird, I get the error:
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /home/mainuser/.local/share/Trash/files/thunderbird/libxul.so:
libXrender.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XPCOM.
What’s that based on? Latest version on Mozilla’s website is 24.1.1, latest version in the mozilla repo is 24.1.1
If you’re running a newer version, then we’re talking third party beta, and IMHO these aren’t the forums to look for a solution.
I meant stable, and it’s in sync now but in the past I’ve found that when a new version comes out (and it’s particularly important when it’s a security update) the repos are usually a few weeks to even a month behind.
