Unable to run software update because usb jump drive not found

Hello,
I’m not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but here it goes. When I installed Suse, I used a jump drive with the DVD iso copied to it. Now whenever I want to update the system software I have to have the jump drive attached. If I don’t, I get this message that the respository at hd:///?device=/dev/disk/by-id/usb-Verbatim_STORE_N_GO_07991009E46530FF-0:0-part1 is missing. Obviously I can’t expect to lock up a jump drive for the rest of its life cycle to house the dvd.

How do I fix this? I’m not familiar at all with Suse’s distribution packaging and repo. I went with it because it is faster than Mint, with better device support.

Thanks,
JPD

No, your question is not related to multimedia.

Fire up YaST, select the repository management module, then remove the dvd repo. Or disable.

Hello and welcome here.

The answer from Carlos is good enough and workd for all openSUSE versions I know. But please next time when you come with a question/problem, tell us which veresion of openSUSE you use. And for many cases it is also good to know which desktop you use (KDE, Gnome, other).

O yes, and it is openSUSE, not Suse.
