Since installing SUSE 13.2 have been unable to print in landscape with either Open Office or Okular, tried 2 different printers. You set up for landscape, it tells you it is going to print landscape, but it only prints on the top two-thirds of the paper, fault possibly with CUPS.
There are well-documented problems printing landscape from OpenOffice and some versions of LibreOffice. I have no problem printing landscape from Okular with CUPS 2.0.3-178-1.
John, do you get any slight offset when printing landscape via Okular?
I have just printed off the first page of http://johnrhudson.me.uk/computing/Some_notes_on_HTML.pdf using okular and the left and right margins are identical. Perhaps you could try printing the same page and seeing if the left and right margins are identical.
Thanks for replying. Actually, the reason I was asking was because of this thread where a user is reporting landscape printing issues with Okular. (I have no such issue with my Brother printer.)
I noticed this page this morning, perhaps there is something there that
you people can try :-?

Whooosh! @john_hudson: as your time permits, can you please where you got such an updated version of cups? I am using cups 1.5.4 from openSUSE repos, and hplips 3.14.6 also from openSUSE repos. I am having same blasted issue w/‘landscape’ printing all of a sudden. If memory is correct, until recently—past 6 months or so —the last this was a major issue was way back with openSUSE v. 10.x? In any event, I don’t print landscape very often; due to need it recently I discovered problems. Tried print-to-file in both pdf and ps; worked for 1-2 months, now problems again. My issue remains even when I change to ‘landscape’ in hplip, libreoffice, and the print dialogue proper! Will read the several posts on this for tips/solutions. Aaaargh! Take Care.
P.S. this makes one curious as to what people that need to print spreadsheets must do??

The link I posted, which is written, I believe, by the person that
maintains CUPS in *suse, says that there is no such thing as landscape
printing.
You should read it.
