Unable to open renamed files in Folder View Layout of Plasma 5.10.4

Hi,
I have trouble opening renamed files in Folder View layout. For example, I renamed a pdf file from “test 1” to “test 2” on my Desktop. When I try to open the file, I get the error message “Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder /home/username/Desktop/old file name does not exist”. The link (http://imgur.com/a/8Cn6m) shows the snapshot of my desktop with the error message. However, I am able to open the file when I access it via Dolphin file manager (/home/username/Desktop). Also, when I logout and login, I am able to open the renamed file in the Folder View layout without any error message. Any ideas ?

Try to right-click on an empty space on the desktop and choose “Refresh”.

There have been fixes in this area recently, so it may not be a problem any more when KDE Frameworks 5.37 is released next Saturday.

I have tried “Refresh” option and its still shows the error message. I hope the KDE Frameworks 5.37 fixes this issue. Thanks for the reply wolfi.
