Unable to mount drives (kde3) - hal error ?

Hi.

I am running opensuse 11.1 - amd64 version - kde 3.5

kde-config -v
Qt: 3.3.8b
KDE: 3.5.10 “release 33.1”

I am unable to mount drives in KDE

I get this error

“org.freedesktop.hal.storage.mount-fixed auth_admin_keep_always ←
(action, result)”

I can mount partitions if I go to root and manually mount them…

I can also mount usb sticks/k850i phone, etc fine - just other drive
partitions i cannot - both ext3 and NTFS

My user is in these groups

groups morgan

morgan : users audio cdrom dialout disk floppy uucp video wheel

Any ideas?

When I have mounted it (as root) I can then use the ‘my computer’ link
to access drives.

There seems to be a permissions issues with normal users mounting
drives?
