Unable to log in after hibernation

Hi guys,

When I start the computer up after having it shut down by hibernation, I am unable to log in anymore. The default kdm login screen shows up, when I enter the password the screen glitches for a second and then returns to the login screen.

Excerpt from /var/log/messages

Any ideas?

Laptop: HP ProBook 6550b
OS: openSuse 13.1

What video?

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 540v, using the default open source driver with radeon.dpm enabled.

Might want to try the propritary driver

But if he can login before hibernation, it makes no sense he can not, after hibernation.
