When I try to switch to the Packman xine-ui, I get the following error:
‘xine-ui’ is already installed.
Package ‘xine-ui’ is not available in your repositories. Cannot reinstall, upgrade, or downgrade.
My Packman URL is Index of /pub/linux/packman/suse/openSUSE_12.3. It came from the one-click install. The zypper URI was not working.
There is no xine-ui in Packman:
zypper se -s xine-ui

Right, and it’s not needed, since it’s only a user interface to xine. (no legal issues there)
But you should have libxine2-codecs from Packman of course, so xine can play all your multimedia files…
xine ui is included under packman
Yes, but not for openSUSE 12.3.
And as I wrote before, it is not needed anyway. Just use the version included in openSUSE or the one from multimedia:apps.
Be sure to install libxine2-codecs from Packman though!
