Unable to install OpenSuse12.2 on MacOSX Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

Hi,

I just tried installing OpenSuse 12.2 over my Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. All the installation steps go success and it reaches to the dialogue box “Your computer will restart in 15 seconds”. When it restarts I don’t find any boot option for booting to OpenSuse. (even I tried by holding the option key on startup). There was no error, I created a new partition via Disk Utility then in the installation procedure of opensuse, I chose that partition to format to ext4 FS and mount point ‘/’. Then everything was normal and all the installation was OK. Just after restart open suse option is not seen.

Earlier I had installed UBUNTU which was showing after intallation.

Is it so that OpenSuse 12.2 not support mac or is there something im missing to configure? Please help me out, I am a fan of OpenSuse and can;t stay long without it… :frowning:

-=WELCOME=- first time poster who can’t stay long without openSUSE
(even if misspelled)

there are lots of fairly recent posts from folks who have been
successful, maybe whatever you overlooked (if anything) is in one of:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aforums.opensuse.org+OSX+install+problem

again, welcome…if none of those solve your specific problem (which
sounds kinda like you may need to edit the grub2 entries, or maybe
the previous ubuntu got in the way, or ???)
