Unable to install Icons

I have a Dell Inspiron 531 AMD 64 X2 +4000, 4GB RAM, with openSUSE 11.2 RC 2 updated from openSUSE RC 1 through zypper dup.

When I go under configure desktop-> appearance-> icons it will not let me install icons from the get new themes button nor will it let me install the icon when I click install theme file and try to install a icon.theme file.

Could someone please help me with this…

perhaps the repo bit that supports that is not in place, or public yet…

11.2 is released in less than 24 hours, do you think you can wait that
long to see if the final version lets your get your desktop pretty?

Have a lot of fun…

Funny thing is, It happens to me sometimes. Even in 11.1 I get that problem. I can install only a few if things that I want installed.

I’m not sure if it was just me. I usually go to the kde eye candy site and manually download the ones I wanted and install manually. that works just fine for me;)

It is less then an hour left until release and I’m at work wishing I was at home to I can upgrade my distro.

running 10.3 and seeding while downloading 11.2 DVD (64) and GNOME Live CD

I didn’t think about setting up a cron, that is a good idea, I will have to do that next time. Well I have the 11.2 release on here now and I’m still not able to install the icons when I search for the under get new themes, nor install the install.theme file from install new icon. Any ideas?

go to kdelook and do it the old fashioned way

Could you give me a tutorial on how to do it the “old fashioned way”

I downloaded the gzip file and extracted it and then went into config desktop -> appearance -> icons and then clicked on install new icon and browsed to the install.theme file and it stated it wasn’t an icon file.

If there is another way please let me know thanks. Also how do I report this bug to KDE so they can work on an update to correct it?
