Unable to find WiFi Networks

I have a MSI Wind that I just installed OpenSUSE 11 on. It has a Realtek card and I downloaded and installed the drivers for it. I am actually following the wiki that’s on msiwind.net, OpenSuse 11.0 - MSI WInd User wiki

The problem is when I start Network Manager I’m not finding any wi-fi networks. I don’t know if the problem is with Network Manager or if maybe the card is not set up correctly. How can I find if the card is set up correctly? Is there something special I have to do to scan networks with Network Manager or is there another way I should connect to Wi-Fi?

The problem is not with NetworkManager. It works perfectly with both
10.3 and 11.0.

Have you told YaST that you want NetworkManager to control your
devices? Once you have done that, you need to create a new connection
using the NM applet.

You can check if your device is working by issuing the command

sudo /usr/sbin/iwlist scan

Post the results.

BTW, this posting should have been the wireless subforum.

Thank you. That solved the problem. I’m now able to connect.
