Hi,
I don’t know if this will help, but I noticed that, to download photos from cameras, I needed the “kio_kamera” package installed. I just grabbed it through YaST and it solved the problems I was having with a camera being seen but not able to download/edit/work with photos.
Fair warning though, I don’t have an iPhone so I have no idea if it’s actually useful there.
